Welcome to the Park Family Zoo!
It was about time we set up a family blog. Life is too good around here to not create a digital journal of it all. We are glad you found us, and hope that your visit to our zoo is a pleasant and enjoyable one. Just remember, if you are to find some of the animals here comical or funny looking, please laugh only in a loving way... otherwise, watch out, we spit!
The animals we most identify with change from time to time, so you will have to be prepared for some change in exhibits once in a while.

Child #1 is our little monkey, born in the Chinese year of the monkey, just like his dad. He is 4 and 1/2 years old, and an awesome big brother! His red hair has always set him apart, and we love it that way!
Bear Cub and Bug are coming up on their very first birthday, in November. That blows this zookeeper's mind! How quickly the time has flown. The first animal that Child #2 reminded me of, was a turtle. His big round eyes and his sweet round face just looked like a turtle to me.
Well, that was before he could move! There is nothing turtle-like about him anymore! And once he started, there was no stopping him! If you leave the bathroom door open, no matter how far away from it he was, he will be in there in two seconds flat! One of these days, I am sure he is going to beat the door down, because if he hears the bath water running, he thinks he should be in it, and he'll let you hear about it!
Child #3 is such a contented smiley happy baby. He is the first of the two to smile at a new face. I guess the animal he will be for this first post, is that which he will be for Halloween this year: Tigger. A happy, bouncy friendly tiger. Bear Cub is going to be Winnie the Pooh. He is two pounds heavier than his brother, and will fill out the cuddly bear costume quite well.
Since I am talking about Halloween costumes, I'll share that Monkey has decided to be a cowboy this year. He has a stick horse (that is his but has always stayed at Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Matt's house), a cowboy hat, belt, holster and gun. We finally went with the gun idea when he slipped the rope lasso over his brother's neck. Oddly enough, the gun is safer.
It took me a few weeks to finally get this first post up and off the ground, so I hope to get better at this. Be patient with us, we are new at the family blog idea. You are welcome to check out the livejournal I have kept for a year and a half - sing4th.livejournal.com It is less a blog of events and more a collection of my thoughts from time to time.
